What is Forward Through Sport?
Forward Through Sport helps ISSA member nations build stronger, better-governed sport systems, make smarter decisions and unlock funding opportunities.
It uses research mapping to assess the state of sport across ISSA Member Nations, providing evidence to help governments and Olympic Committees develop smarter policies, funding opportunities and more effective investment in sport.
What This Means:
- Growth & sustainability: Investment in sport comes back as jobs, tourism and growth.
- Values & identity: Sport carries a nation’s value and identity to the rest of the world.
- Social impact: A stronger system means more people get the chance to participate.
Impact Statement:
Enhanced resources for the sport sector in the 57 member nations which lead to socio-economic benefit for local populations, raising overall standards to that of comparable international best practice.
