What is Equestrian (Jumping)?
Equestrian sports center on the partnership between horse and rider. Show jumping, the discipline included in the Olympic Games since Paris 1900, tests precision, speed, and coordination as riders clear a series of obstacles in the shortest time possible without knocking any down. 46 athlete slots will be allocated, with a maximum of four athletes per NOC. Four slots will be directly allocated to the host country.
If registrations exceed 46, entries per NOC will be reduced to three, and if still over, further reduced to two, to ensure the quota cap is not exceeded.
Registered athletes must meet the minimum age requirements and be registered with the FEI.
