The Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) delegation visited the Ministry of Youth & Sports in The Gambia to enhance collaboration and explore new opportunities for sports development.

The delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Bakary Badjie, and the President of the National Olympic Committee, Bai Dodou Jallow, who expressed their appreciation for the ISSA’s commitment to fostering sports growth in member countries.

During the meeting, the ISSA officially presented the invitation for The Gambia to participate in the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games. Discussions also focused on key areas of cooperation, including: • Strengthening sports collaboration and development • Exchange programs and training opportunities for athletes and coaches • Infrastructure support and provision of modern sports equipment • Knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives • Participation in regional and international sporting events • Hosting ISSA-sanctioned events in The Gambia
