The Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) has today confirmed the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will take place from 7-21 November 2025.
The Islamic Solidarity Games serves as the ISSA’s flagship event, bringing together athletes from 57 countries in a showcase of sporting excellence and peaceful competition.
Formal invitations have been distributed to each of the National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
The 6th edition will see the Islamic Solidarity Games return to Saudi Arabia, where it first established its value as a multi-sport event uniting the ISSA’s membership during the inaugural edition in 2005.
Confirmation of the dates for Riyadh 2025 follow consultations between the ISSA, the Organizing Committee, NOCs and International Federations.
The dates of 7-21 November avoid clashes with other major sporting events and Islamic festivals, enabling more than 4,000 athletes from across the ISSA community to thrive and inspire millions of young people from around the world.
The Islamic Solidarity Games is also positioned in an opportune moment to support athletes in their preparations for the qualifying cycle for the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.
A dynamic sports program for the Islamic Solidarity Games Riyadh 2025 will be finalized in due course, supported by the ISSA’s effective outreach to International Federations dating back to the beginning of its transformational journey at the ISSA General Assembly in 2023.
