The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games concluded this evening with a vibrant Closing Ceremony in Riyadh, celebrating the unity and sporting excellence of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association’s (ISSA) 57 member countries.

More than 3,000 athletes from the 57 countries have competed across 23 sports since 4 November, and a highlight video showcased the most memorable moments from across the event.

The athletes took centre stage with a parade to take the acclaim for their contributions to an outstanding Islamic Solidarity Games, followed by a parade of volunteers to show appreciation for their efforts in organising the event.

The lowering of the ISSA flag marked the official conclusion of the Games, before an official handover took place to Selangor, Malaysia as the host of the 7th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2029.

The event concluded with performances from artists Dystinct and Sultan Al Murshed, who delivered an incredible music concert to bring the curtain down on an unforgettable two-and-a-half weeks of competition.
