Djibouti's Collaboration With ISSA
The National Olympic and Sports Committee of Djibouti was established in 1983 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1984. Djibouti began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the first edition in 2005 and also took part in the Baku 2017 and Konya 2021 editions.

Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim
Djiboutian runner Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim holds three of the four medals Djibouti has won in the history of the Islamic Solidarity Games. He claimed a silver medal in the 3000m steeplechase and a bronze in the 5000m at the Baku 2017 edition, and later won another silver in the 3000m steeplechase at Konya 2021.
