The Chadian Olympic and Sports Committee was established in 1963 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1964.
Chad began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the very first edition in 2005 and has not missed any edition since.

Marlyse Hourtou
Marlyse Hourtou was the first Chadian woman to compete in archery at the Olympic Games, having represented Chad at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She previously won two bronze medals at the 2019 African Games.
