Indonesia's Collaboration With ISSA
The Indonesian Olympic Committee was established in 1947 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1952.
Indonesia began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the very first edition in 2005 and has not missed any edition since.
Participation In Islamic Solidarity Games
Indonesia hosted the Palembang 2013 edition of the Games, welcoming 39 participating nations. Indonesia has won 222 medals in past editions of the Islamic Solidarity Games: 56 gold, 78 silver and 88 bronze, excluding Riyadh 2025.

Eko Yuli Irawan
Indonesian weightlifter Eko Yuli Irawan is considered one of Indonesia’s finest athletes thanks to his impressive achievements throughout his career. He has won four Olympic medals (two silver and two bronze), and he also claimed two gold medals at the Islamic Solidarity Games—in Palembang 2013 and Baku 2017.
