Niger's Collaboration With ISSA
The Nigerien National Olympic and Sports Committee was established in 1964 and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the same year.
Niger began its participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the first edition in 2005 and also took part in the Baku 2017 and Konya 2021 editions.

Mahamadou Amadou, a taekwondo athlete, made history by becoming the first-ever gold medalist for Niger in the Islamic Solidarity Games after winning first place in the -54 kg category at the fifth edition – Konya 2021.
