Bahraini middle-distance athlete Nelly Korir claimed a historic double gold at the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh 2025, winning both the Women's 800 metres in a time of 2:02.59 – defeating former world champion Halima Nakaayi of Uganda – and the Women's 1500 metres, making her one of Bahrain's standout performers at the Games.
