The National Olympic Committee of Côte d'Ivoire was established in 1962 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1963.
Côte d'Ivoire began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the very first edition in 2005 and has not missed any edition since.

Sprinter Arthur Cissé made history by winning Côte d'Ivoire’s first-ever gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games, finishing first in the 100-meter race at the 5th edition of the Games (Konya 2021).
