Bangladesh's Collaboration With ISSA
The Bangladesh Olympic Association was established in 1979 and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1980.
Bangladesh began its participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the first edition in 2005 and has not missed any edition since.

Abdullah Hel Baki and Sayeda Atkia Hasan
The duo of Abdullah Hel Baki and Sayeda Atkia Hasan made history for Bangladesh in the 4th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games – Baku 2017, by winning the country’s first-ever gold medal in the event. They claimed gold in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event in shooting.
