Tajikistan's Collaboration With ISSA
The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan was established in 1992 and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1993.
Tajikistan began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the first edition in 2005 and has not missed any edition since.

Throughout its participation in past editions of the Islamic Solidarity Games, excluding Riyadh 2025, Tajikistan has won a total of 14 medals: 1 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze.

Dilshod Nazarov
Dilshod Nazarov gifted his country Tajikistan its first—and so far only—gold medal in the Islamic Solidarity Games by winning the hammer throw event in the 2005 edition. He is also the only Tajik athlete to have won a gold medal in the Olympic Games, achieving this at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics.
