Kyrgyzstan's Collaboration With ISSA
The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan was established in 1991 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1993.
Kyrgyzstan began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the very first edition in 2005 and also took part in the Baku 2017 and Konya 2021 editions.

In past editions of the Islamic Solidarity Games, Kyrgyzstan accumulated 56 medals in total: 14 gold, 15 silver and 27 bronze.

Akzhol Makhmudov
Akzhol Makhmudov is considered one of Kyrgyzstan’s best wrestlers due to his remarkable achievements over the past years. He has won two Olympic medals (silver at Tokyo 2020 and bronze at Paris 2024), two gold medals at the Wrestling World Championships, and he also claimed the gold medal at the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games – Konya 2021.
