Iran's Collaboration With ISSA
The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran was established in 1947 and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the same year.
Iran began participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games from the very first edition in 2005 and has not missed any edition since.
Participation In Islamic Solidarity Games
To date (excluding Riyadh 2025), Iran has won a total of 320 medals in the Islamic Solidarity Games: 118 gold, 96 silver and 106 bronze.

Wrestler Hassan Yazdani is considered one of only four Iranian athletes to have won three Olympic medals (one gold and two silver). In the fourth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games – Baku 2017, Hassan Yazdani delivered an outstanding performance, capturing the gold medal in the 86kg freestyle wrestling category.
